Paleo Turkey Sloppy Joe Skillet

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 small red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 red bell better, diced
  • 1 8oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat a large, greased skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauce for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Add ground turkey to the skillet and break into small pieces as it cooks. When the turkey is browned throughout, drain the liquids.

  3. Reduce heat to low and stir in tomatoes, red wine vinegar, paprika, chili powder, and garlic. Stir to combine and simmer for 4-5 minutes while the sauce thickens. 

  4. Remove from heat and serve! The sloppy Joe meat is great over a baked potato, a bowl of zoodles, or your favorite gluten free sandwich bread.
